In this blog I'm going to make frequent updates on things that are inspiring me to be a better person, and weekly updates of an interview with someone who in my eyes is "Like Unto Moroni".

A Cleansing Day

Today was just that... a cleansing day

Throughout my day I was pondering many things.  I attended my Biology class, entered into a new institute, checked up on some of my job applications, and many various tasks.  But all the while my soul was somewhere else, my mind was completely enveloped in an intense spiritual inventory check.

"...But treasure up in your minds continually the words of life..." (D&C 84:85)

I came to a new understanding today of what I need to do in my life in order to more fully enjoy it.  It all came down to one thing... forget myself, and serve others.  As we lose ourselves in the service of others, we do not lose anything, but we gain everything.

That is just one of many spiritual promptings I felt today.

Speaking on service Elder Jeffrey R. Holland said, "Brothers and sisters, seeing your example, I pledge anew my determination to be better, to be more faithful—more kind and devoted, more charitable and true as our Father in Heaven is and as so many of you already are."

I echo his words when I renew my dedication to be more Christlike in every sense of the word.  Today I felt cleansed of many terrible things that scourged my mind, and a renewed hope has taken place.  As I listen to General Conference talks everyday as I drive (my new habit) the words of the Prophets permeate my being and cause me to strive to align my life with the straight and narrow path back to our Heavenly Father.

Thanks be to God for Prophets on the earth.
